Kylie Jenner is named the world’s highest paid celebrity by Forbes in their annual list of top 100. The list was recently released and it features lots of big names from different industries, but Kylie happened to score big.
Despite being stripped off from the billionaire’s status by Forbes last week, Kylie still holds the spot of the highest paid celebrity in the world. The huge revelation came after Forbes realized that the Kylie cosmetics wasn’t as big as the Jenners claimed it was. They stated that Jenner and her momager Kris provided them with forged tax returns files.
Later last year, the youngest of the KarJenner clan made headlines when she sold 51% of Kylie Cosmetics to powerhouse Coty. The deal helped Jenner to pocket $600 million for herself. However after tax filings it seemed like the number came down to $590 million which is still big money. And it’s no secret that the sale of her business’ stake was the biggest check of the past year.
The former billionaire is followed by her brother-in-law Kanye West in second place. West pocketed $170 million from his Yeezy brand which he solely owns. The Jesus is king hitmaker is married to the infamous Kardashian sister Kim who also made the list.
Kanye West was recently named the newcomer of the billionaires’ club in 2020. He takes the crown as being the richest hip-hop artist with a whooping $1.3 billion in net worth.
The makeup mogul has since been focused on raising awareness about the Black Lives MatterBlack Lives Matter movement. She spoke candidly about how she fears for the future of her child Stormi Webster. Kylie shares the baby with rapper Travis Scott. She has been amongst the list of celebrities who are fighting injustice and racism.
